Complete tutorial on how to install Microsoft Office

A. Preparation Install Microsoft Office

How do I choose the version of Microsoft Office?

Choose the version of Microsoft Office based on the minimum hardware specifications for the version to be installed and make sure the computer hardware exceeds these specifications.

Here are the minimum specifications for Microsoft Office 2016:

  • Minimum 1 Ghz processor with SSE2 feature.
  • Minimal 2 GB RAM.
  • The minimum monitor resolution is 800 × 600.
  • GPU that supports DirectX 10.
  • Microsoft NET. 3.5 (has been installed automatically), and to support advanced features such as additional add-ins purchased separately required NET 4.0 or NET 4.5 CLR.
  • Using the Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10, or later operating system.

I haven't purchased a Microsoft Office license yet, which version should I install?

Use the 2010, 2013, or 2016 versions (according to your computer's performance) to prevent Microsoft Office from becoming unusable after 30 days (trial time expires).

B. Choosing x86 (32 bit) or x64 (64 bit) Microsoft Office Architecture

Before you buy or download Microsoft Office, make sure the operating system architecture you are using. Then adjust it to the software that you will buy or download.

What version of Microsoft Office can still be used even if it is not activated? 

It is recommended to use the 2010, 2013, and 2016 versions of Microsoft Office. This version can still be used to create, edit, and save documents , even though the "Microsoft Office is Not Activated" notification appears at the top in red (after 30 days of trial period). This is highly recommended for those of you who still want to use Microsoft Office without buying it, but still don't want to pirate (using illegal activators). Illegal activators are made by unverified developers, so it is likely that the activator software contains viruses.

For the 2019 version, after a 30 day trial, Microsoft Office cannot be used.
